The Human Resources Coordinator may have access to confidential team member, candidate, compensation, performance, or employee-relations information in the normal course of work and is expected to maintain strict confidentiality and sound judgment at all times. Complex, sensitive, or higher-level People & Development matters are promptly referred to the Human Resources Manager or Director of People & Development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Orientation, Training & Development Coordination

• Coordinate and facilitate NoMad Detroit new hire orientation, ensuring new team members receive a welcoming, organized, and consistent introduction to the hotel, its culture, policies, standards, and resources.

• Maintain the People & Development training calendar and coordinate training sessions, locations, attendance, communications, materials, sign-ups, and completion records.

• Lead or assist with approved recurring training programs and presentations within the scope of the position.

• Prepare orientation and training materials, presentations, handouts, certificates, sign-in records, and other supporting documentation.

• Track participation, completion, feedback, and outstanding training requirements and follow up with team members and department leaders as appropriate.

• Support department leaders with scheduling and coordination of required Hilton, NoMad, safety, compliance, and departmental training.

• Maintain organized training records and assist the Human Resources Manager and Director of People & Development with training reports, audits, and related follow-up.

• Assist with identifying recurring training needs and communicating observations or opportunities to People & Development leadership.

Recruitment, Pre-Employment & Onboarding Support

• Provide administrative support throughout recruitment and hiring, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, hiring-event coordination, and recruitment tracking.

• Assist candidates and hiring managers with routine questions regarding the application, interview, pre-employment, and onboarding process.

• Coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding requirements and follow up on outstanding items to support timely start dates.

• Prepare orientation schedules, welcome materials, name badges, identification materials, and other new hire resources as assigned.

• Assist with new hire system setup and access coordination in approved Hilton and hotel systems as authorized.

• Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records and escalate discrepancies, eligibility concerns, or other issues to the Human Resources Manager.

• Support pre-opening and high-volume hiring activities, job fairs, interview days, and other recruitment initiatives as needed.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly to the Director of People & Development. The position has no direct reports. The Human Resources Coordinator is expected to independently manage routine coordination and administrative responsibilities within established procedures. Matters involving employee relations, investigations, harassment or discrimination complaints, accommodations, leaves, discipline, terminations, compensation decisions, policy interpretation, legal or compliance determinations, or other sensitive People & Development decisions are escalated to the Human Resources Manager or Director of People & Development. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

• Support pre-opening, opening, and ongoing People & Development operational needs.

• Assist with team member locker, identification, name badge, uniform, or other administrative programs when assigned.

• Maintain adequate quantities of People & Development forms, orientation materials, training supplies, and office supplies.

• Assist with filing, copying, scanning, mail distribution, document preparation, and other department administrative needs.

• Provide support at hotel-wide meetings, training programs, hiring events, team member events, and other People & Development initiatives.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Manager or Director of People & Development based on changing business needs.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. Experience

• One to two years of administrative, Human Resources, training, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.

• Previous Human Resources or People & Development experience preferred but not required for a candidate with strong administrative, organizational, and guest-service skills.

• Experience coordinating or facilitating orientations, training sessions, meetings, events, or group presentations preferred.

• Hospitality, luxury service, or hotel experience is a plus.

Certifications No specific certification is required. Human Resources, training, CPR, First Aid, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
