The Team The Dynamic Multi-Asset Strategy (DMAS) team manages benchmark-agnostic, actively managed multi-asset portfolios designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns while emphasizing capital preservation. The investment process combines top-down macro views, tactical asset allocation, and bottom-up security selection across equities, fixed income, commodities, liquid alternatives, and cash. The team leverages proprietary research and resources across J.P. Morgan while maintaining an independent investment process and a high-conviction approach to portfolio construction. Portfolio managers actively allocate risk across sectors, geographies, styles, and investment themes, seeking opportunities with the most compelling risk/reward characteristics. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Portfolio Manager to join the Dynamic Multi-Asset Strategy (DMAS) team. This individual will play a key role in the equity investment process, helping to identify high-conviction investment opportunities, formulate thematic views, and translate those insights into portfolio positions across DMAS strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating actionable investment ideas, conducting fundamental and thematic research, contributing to portfolio construction decisions, and helping manage equity risk across portfolios. The role requires close collaboration with portfolio managers responsible for fixed income, alternatives, and asset allocation decisions, as well as broad engagement with research resources across J.P. Morgan. Job Responsibilities Portfolio Management & Investment Strategy
• Primary responsibility for contributing to the management of equity allocations across DMAS portfolios, including funds, model portfolios, and separately managed accounts. • Generate and implement high-conviction equity investment ideas through fundamental research, thematic analysis, quantitative inputs, and market intelligence. • Participate directly in portfolio construction discussions, including security selection, position sizing, buy/sell decisions, and risk management. • Contribute to tactical equity allocation decisions and broader portfolio positioning across varying market environments. • Identify and implement opportunities across sectors, industries, geographies, market capitalizations, and investment styles. • Monitor portfolio holdings and adjust positioning as market conditions and investment theses evolve. • Evaluate portfolio risks and opportunities to ensure consistency with investment objectives and risk parameters. Research & Security Selection
• Develop and maintain detailed investment views on companies, sectors, industries, and equity markets globally. • Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of individual securities and investment themes. • Develop differentiated thematic investment views and identify emerging secular and cyclical trends capable of driving portfolio outperformance. • Generate actionable investment recommendations supported by rigorous research and analysis. • Leverage quantitative, fundamental, technical, and macroeconomic inputs to identify attractive investment opportunities. • Articulate and maintain detailed investment theses and portfolio recommendations. Portfolio Construction & Cross-Asset Collaboration
• Collaborate with portfolio managers across equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, and liquid alternatives to maximize portfolio-level risk-adjusted returns. • Evaluate portfolio exposures, factor risks, active bets, correlations, and diversification characteristics. • Assist in constructing portfolios that balance alpha generation with disciplined risk management. • Contribute to strategic and tactical asset allocation discussions across the broader DMAS platform. • Implement investment views through individual securities, ETFs, mutual funds, and other investment vehicles, as appropriate. Client Engagement & Thought Leadership
• Represent the team in client meetings, portfolio reviews, and investment discussions. • Articulate investment views, portfolio positioning, and market outlooks to clients, advisors, and distribution partners. • Contribute to investment commentary, market updates, thought leadership, and marketing materials. • Support business development efforts by communicating the team's investment philosophy, process, and positioning. • Partner with colleagues across investment, distribution, and client service teams to deliver a best-in-class client experience. Process Improvement & Team Development
• Contribute to the continued evolution of the DMAS investment process and research framework. • Seek opportunities to improve portfolio analytics, research workflows, and investment decision-making processes. • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment that values intellectual curiosity, accountability, and innovation. • Contribute to and manage projects that enhance team effectiveness and investment outcomes. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
• Significant experience in equity investing, portfolio management, or equity research with demonstrated success generating actionable investment ideas. • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk management, and active position sizing. • Deep knowledge of global equity markets, sectors, industries, and investment factors. • Ability to connect macroeconomic developments, market themes, and company fundamentals into investable portfolio recommendations. • Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate differentiated investment opportunities and thematic views. • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present investment views to senior stakeholders and clients. • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative investment environment. • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and passion for investing. • Drive and determination coupled with a results-oriented mindset and a natural inclination toward teamwork and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
• Experience managing portfolios or supporting portfolio management decisions within an institutional investment environment. • Experience evaluating investment opportunities across sectors and market capitalizations. • Familiarity with derivatives, option strategies, ETFs, and alternative investment vehicles. • Experience integrating quantitative tools and data-driven techniques into the investment process. • Proficiency with Bloomberg, FactSet, Python, or other investment analytics platforms. • Experience communicating investment ideas to clients, advisors, or senior investment committees.
