Inova Kellar Center is looking for a dedicated Instructional Aide to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. The Instructional Aide assists in setting up the learning environment and preparing needed materials and supplies. Assists in the implementation of the daily instructional program under the direction of the teacher. Engages in activities integral to the continued development and success of Inova Kellar Center. Instructional Aide Job Responsibilities:
• Presents teacher-prepared lessons and reinforces skills taught by the teacher to small groups or individual students. • Helps with organization of special education records, student files and documentation of academic and IEP progress. • Supervises the classroom in the absence of the teacher. • Performs a variety of clerical tasks for the purpose of supporting the teacher and provides necessary records and materials. • Prepares instructional materials for the purpose of providing students with necessary items and assisting the teacher in the classroom. • Maintains an effective learning environment through student supervision, classroom management, and implementation of the behavior intervention system. Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: High School or equivalent • Experience: 1 (one) year of experience working with children in a group setting Preferred Qualifications:
• RBT certification (we will provide BCBA supervision)
