About this role
• 🚢 Training Delivery • Conduct training sessions on port operations, cargo handling, warehousing, and logistics processes. • Deliver safety and compliance training covering hazardous materials, emergency response, and environmental standards. • Provide hands-on instruction for equipment operation (cranes, forklifts, reach stackers, etc.).
• 📚 Program Development • Design training modules tailored to operational needs and industry regulations. • Update training materials regularly to reflect changes in technology, regulations, and best practices.
• ⚖️ Compliance & Standards • Ensure training aligns with international maritime regulations (IMO, ISPS Code, ILO). • Support certification programs for operators and logistics staff. • Promote a culture of safety and compliance across all port activities.
• 📊 Evaluation & Reporting • Assess trainee performance through tests, simulations, and practical evaluations. • Track training completion, certification status, and skill development metrics. • Provide reports to management on training effectiveness and workforce readiness.
• 🤝 Collaboration • Work closely with HR, operations managers, and external training providers. • Coordinate with government agencies and maritime academies for specialized training programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a trainer in ports, shipping, or logistics industries. • Strong knowledge of port operations, equipment handling, and safety regulations. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and instructional skills. • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and simulation-based training tools.
