About this role

Salary: £45,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements: A university degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.Grade A or above at A-Level Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.A proven track record of typically 4+ years as a Data Analyst, with substantial hands-on experience building and deploying Power BI dashboards in a live business environment.Advanced skills in DAX and Power Query, plus strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and shaping large datasets.A demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for non-technical stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail and a rigorous, evidence-based approach to problem-solving.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to present to senior leaders.A postgraduate qualification in a quantitative or data-related subject is desirable.Experience with Python or R for analysis or automation is desirable.Experience in the automotive, warranty, insurance or financial services sector is desirable.Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, or similar cloud data platforms is desirable.Microsoft Power BI certification, such as PL-300, or equivalent is desirable. Responsibilities: Lead the design, build and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports across the business, turning claims, sales and operational data into clear commercial insight.Own the end-to-end analytics pipeline, including sourcing, cleaning, modelling and validating data from CRM, claims, finance and customer service systems.Partner with senior stakeholders across Sales, Claims, Marketing and Finance to define KPIs, build self-serve reporting and answer ad-hoc analytical questions.Spot trends in warranty claims, customer behaviour and policy performance, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.Build and maintain robust, well-documented data models using DAX and Power Query that scale as the business grows.Champion data quality and governance, working closely with IT to keep data accurate, secure and well-structured.Mentor junior analysts and share best practice in Power BI, SQL and data storytelling.Present findings clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
