About this role

Salary: £55,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements: Commercial experience developing embedded software or firmware solutionsStrong programming skills in C and/or C++Experience developing for embedded Linux environmentsKnowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS)Experience working with ARM-based processors and microcontrollersHardware integration and low-level software development experienceUnderstanding of serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, or USBExperience with debugging tools, test equipment, and performance optimisation techniquesFamiliarity with software development lifecycles within regulated or engineering-led environmentsExperience using Git and version control systemsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for complex hardware platformsDevelop low-level software and firmware for embedded systems and microprocessor-based productsCollaborate with Electronics Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Teams throughout the development lifecycleIntegrate software with sensors, electronic control systems, communication interfaces, and hardware architecturesDebug, analyse, and optimise performance-critical systemsSupport system integration, verification, validation, and testing activitiesContribute to technical design reviews and software architecture decisionsDiagnose and resolve complex hardware and software integration challengesEnsure software meets reliability, performance, safety, and security requirementsSupport product development from concept and design through to deployment and ongoing improvement Technologies: ARMEmbeddedEthernetFirmwareGitHardwareSupportLinuxSecurityC++ More:
