About this role

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements: Understanding of the IT/software development lifecycle, including methodologies such as Agile, and associated reviews, policies, standards, and governance processes.Proven experience in the design, development, and deployment of major IT applications and how those applications can support business processes.Proven knowledge and experience of working within architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. Responsibilities: Define the solution architecture and design for projects to meet business and system requirements within cost, timescale, and agreed architectural and technical frameworks.Capture the as-is and to-be application, data, and technology architectures for assigned projects.Provide Project Technical Authority leadership, ensuring the solution architecture and design are appropriate and communicated effectively.Provide design management and governance through change and configuration management activities.Govern architecture, drive adoption of standards, and manage the long-term health of the IT estate.Work on international programmes and support digital transformation into a manufacturing environment. We are recruiting a Solution Architect to work across our Naval Ships environment, with a requirement to be onsite two days per week in Scotstoun, New Malden, Filton, or Portsmouth.
