Responsibilities: Take ownership of a defined technology domain or migration workstream.Provide technical direction and make key technical decisions.Drive migration and platform modernisation activities through to delivery.Work closely with engineering, architecture, operations and programme teams.Identify and remove technical blockers, risks and dependencies.Provide hands-on technical leadership where required.Represent our workstream in technical reviews, governance and leadership forums.Work with senior stakeholders and communicate technical challenges, progress and recommendations.Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, governance and strategic objectives. We are supporting a large-scale enterprise migration and platform modernisation programme for a leading global financial services organisation. This is a senior, hands-on role based in Sheffield with a hybrid working arrangement, offered as an initial 36-month contract inside IR35. The role sits within a delivery-focused environment where we work across engineering, architecture, infrastructure and programme teams to resolve complex technical challenges, manage dependencies and keep the migration programme moving. The ideal background includes Senior Technical Architect, Technical Lead, Principal Consultant or Engineering Lead experience, with the ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels while engaging senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguity in a complex stakeholder environment.
