About this role

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements: We require experience in Industrial Technology Systems Engineering within the oil and gas or major accident hazard environment.We prefer experience with the Emerson DeltaV DCS system, ABB ICSS, and GE PAC8000 Safety System, although this is not essential.We require knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, domains/workgroups, and firewalls.We require a minimum of HNC-level qualification in S, C and I Engineering or Computing and IT.We require TUV Functional Safety Certification, or we are willing to support the right candidate in obtaining it.We require a self-starter who can operate with broad direction from the S, C and I Technical Authority.We require the ability to apply HSE principles across technical activities in offshore and onshore COMAH environments.We require excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships within our business and the wider oil and gas industry. Responsibilities: We support the System, Control and Instrument Technical Authority in managing Industrial Systems Engineering across our Gas Infrastructure assets.We provide maintenance and support for DCS, ESD, Fire and Gas, BMS, IMAC and PI systems.We develop discipline-specific activities, manage discipline and operational risks, and support project and technical specifications.We develop and manage technical contracts and carry out verifications and audits of the technical framework for the discipline.We manage software changes, cyber security threats, process control networks, and Windows-based workstations and servers.We act as administrator for our Asset Industrial Technology systems.We maintain the software and hardware of our Asset Industrial Technology systems to ensure reliability and integrity.We ensure appropriate standards are maintained and applied to our operational assets and projects.We select optimum technical solutions for modifications and projects in line with our strategy and operational and business requirements.We support HSE improvement initiatives and provide technical input into operational risk management.We participate in root cause analysis to resolve safety and reliability issues.We actively participate in our Management of Change process and Software Modification process.We ensure compliance with our S, C and I Engineering strategy and standards.We provide direct Industrial systems support to our Gas Infrastructure assets, including travel to onshore terminals and offshore assets and overnight stays as required.
