About this role

About Nclusion Nclusion is on a mission to provide traditional financial services to 1.5 billion people worldwide without access today. Without a secure way to save, invest, or transfer money, individuals are not empowered to accumulate short or long-term wealth. We're changing that by bridging the gap between traditional banking and the communities that need it most. About the Role As Anti-Fraud Manager , you will stand up and lead Nclusion’s group-wide anti-fraud function. It protects our customers, our revenue, and the integrity of every transaction as we deliver financial services to underserved markets. This role is part builder, part operator, part cross-functional collaborator . You will establish the central anti-fraud capability from the ground up, work hand-in-hand with our Data and Finance teams to turn transaction data into detection, and coordinate anti-fraud activities across markets. The function begins with our gaming business and is designed to extend into our broader financial services offering. This role is a single opening, where we are able to hire either at HQ (Palo Alto), or internationally with proximity to our markets, with both requiring travel into HQ/markets as needed. Our team in Palo Alto works together onsite four days a week with one day from home. What You’ll Do Build the central anti-fraud function : Design and stand up the group’s anti-fraud operating model: strategy, policies, risk framework, detection rules, and case-management processes, along with the KPIs and reporting that give leadership a clear view of fraud exposure. Partner with Data and Finance : Work closely with the Data team to build detection models, monitoring, and analytics on our transaction data, and with Finance to quantify fraud loss and embed controls into financial processes. Detect patterns and arbitrage at scale : Mine high-volume transaction data alongside the Data team to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and arbitrage before they become losses. Operate group-wide with market touch-points : Set the central standards and playbooks, then establish and coordinate anti-fraud coverage in each market so local execution stays consistent with the group framework. Collaborate closely with Legal : Work in close partnership with the legal department on fraud matters, escalations, and control design. Scale the function across products and markets : Guide and coordinate anti-fraud analysts across markets and grow the capability as the group expands from gaming into financial services. What You Bring to the Table 8+ years of experience in a fraud, risk, or trust & safety function within financial services, telecommunications, or mobile money/payments. Anti-fraud experience at a telco or mobile money operator : ideally in Africa (e.g. MTN and comparable operators with mature anti-fraud and mobile money functions) or Latin America (e.g. Millicom, Liberty Global). High-volume transaction experience : you have worked at real scale on transaction data and understand how fraud and arbitrage behave at that volume. Emerging / “Global South” market expertise : a strong track record in developing-country markets, where fraud patterns, payment rails, and risk dynamics differ materially from mature markets. Data-driven detection : comfortable working hand-in-hand with Data teams to mine large datasets and translate business risk into detection logic. Multi-domain fluency : able to cover both gaming transactions and the broader financial services context. Nice to have: a background in revenue assurance.
