**Stay close to the code. Lead a development team. Help shape how we build software at Dalux. **Dalux is growing, and we are looking for experienced software developers who want to combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership. As a Team Lead, you will lead from within the development team. Around half of your time will still be spent developing software, while the rest is focused on technical direction, product collaboration, planning, mentoring, and helping the team perform at its best. You will have significant influence on both the products we build and the way we build them – including how we increasingly use AI-assisted development across Dalux. **Your role **Each Dalux development team owns one or more areas of our product portfolio. The team is responsible not only for developing new functionality, but also for the architecture, quality, performance, reliability, and long-term health of the software it owns. As Team Lead, you are the technical anchor of the team. You work closely with developers, a Product Manager, and a Product Designer to understand problems, create technical direction, and turn product priorities into high-quality software. This is primarily a technical leadership role rather than a traditional people-management position . You will spend approximately 50% of your time developing software hands-on . The rest of your role will typically include: Setting technical direction and defining architectural solutions together with the team Working closely with the Product Manager to understand requirements, challenge scope, and translate product priorities into development work Planning and prioritizing work while maintaining a healthy and sustainable flow Helping the team break down complex technical and product problems Mentoring and coaching developers through technical sparring, reviews, and day-to-day collaboration Supporting the technical onboarding and development of new team members Taking responsibility for the quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability of your team's software Coordinating releases and helping the team bring its work confidently into production Identifying opportunities to improve architecture, tools, development practices, and ways of working Sharing ideas and driving improvements beyond your own team when you see something that can make Dalux Development better We expect Team Leads to have opinions, challenge existing approaches, and create clarity when there is no obvious answer. **Leading AI-assisted development **We are significantly increasing our focus on AI-assisted software development across Dalux. We are actively exploring how AI can improve the development lifecycle – from understanding problems and exploring technical approaches to coding, testing, review, debugging, refactoring, and automation. As a Team Lead, you will have an important role in making this practical for your team. That means more than simply using an AI coding assistant yourself. We want our Team Leads to help their teams experiment with new workflows, identify where AI genuinely improves engineering effectiveness, share useful practices, and maintain the engineering judgment and quality standards required for production software. Practical experience with AI-assisted development is an advantage. More importantly, we are looking for technical leaders who are curious about how AI is changing software engineering and who want to help their teams adapt to that change. **Technologies we work with **Our platform is built on a distributed cloud architecture using AWS. Our products are used by professionals around the world, making quality, stability, performance, and maintainability important parts of everyday engineering. **Your background **You are an experienced software developer who enjoys taking responsibility beyond your own code. You may already be working as a Team Lead or Lead Developer. Or you may be the experienced developer others naturally turn to when a difficult technical decision needs to be made, a problem needs structure, or another developer needs help moving forward. We expect that you: Have solid professional software development experience Have an educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field Have experience taking a key technical role within a development team Are comfortable making and facilitating technical decisions Enjoy helping other developers develop their skills Can create structure and direction without needing to control every detail Have strong facilitation, communication, and planning skills Care about maintainability, reliability, performance, and engineering quality Understand how to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health Can identify opportunities to improve development practices and ways of working Are interested in how AI-assisted development can improve the effectiveness of both individual developers and teams Experience with our exact technology stack is useful, but technical judgment, leadership ability, and strong software engineering fundamentals matter more. **What You Can Expect From Dalux **Dalux is a software company at heart, and software development is central to how we create value.
