About this role
Data Governance Specialist Are you keen to support an organization that's on an exciting data journey? Then come join TDC Brands. As the Data Governance Specialist, you will be a member of the Data Office, responsible for supporting and developing data governance initiatives across the organization. In this role you will work flexibly between the Data Office and embedded in business units to make data roles work day-to-day: enabling data consumers, assisting Data Domain Owners and Data Stewards. You will have an important role in supporting data governance by working collaboratively with the business. Key Responsibilities: Enable Data Consumers: Support adoption of the strategic data platform and the Enterprise Business Glossary (EBG) among data consumers in your business domain, including AI and agentic consumers. Help consumers find, understand, and trust governed data so it actually gets used for business insights and automation. Assist Data Domain Owners: Support your Data Domain Owner(s) in maturing the data domain map and semantic models. Align with Tech, DPO and Legal as needed when data domain priorities, critical data elements, or AI classifications are being set. Flag gaps early — missing owners, unclear sources, unresolved dependencies — so each wave starts on solid ground. Assist Data Stewards: Provide on-demand support to Data Stewards as they assess and authorize changes and stay accountable for data quality at source. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for Data Domain Owners, Data Stewards, Glossary Term Owners and data consumers. Escalate issues that need central Data Office, Tech, DPO or Legal involvement. Bonus Experience with telecoms, familiarity with data cataloging tools, or an interest in how governed data enables AI and agentic use cases. Qualifications As a Data Governance Specialist, we expect you to have sufficient years' experience in data management and data governance. You most likely come from an industry that prioritizes critical and valuable data assets and applies 'just enough' data governance. Key expectations of the role are having great communication skills, comfort in operating pragmatically ahead of a fully defined policy landscape, and an ability to interact with people across the organization to produce tangible benefits to our data and AI initiatives. Application : It is not necessary to attach a cover letter, but please include a brief introduction in your CV about why you are applying for this position.
