As our new Engineering Manager in our System Integration, Test & Verification (ITV) department, you will take responsibility for a team of System Test Engineers verifying our advanced radar systems. Your focus will be to own the team’s skills, processes, capacity overview, and tool support, while ensuring a strong professional foundation for engineers allocated across projects. Owning skills, processes, and capacity for system verification The team works in a matrix setup, where engineers contribute to different projects while relying on shared standards, common practices, and coordinated capacity planning. Your role is to create structure that enables effective system verification across Weibel’s radar portfolio. You will be part of the ITV leadership team, which consists of two Engineering Managers and three Test Managers. The Test Managers drive the test plans in collaboration with the project managers, while the Engineering Managers ensure the right skills, processes, capacity, and team foundation are in place to support those commitments and to work closely with the Test Managers to ensure verification performance. Your primary tasks are: Owning System Verification Engineering strategy, skills, processes, and ways of working Maintaining overview of verification capacity, competencies, and project allocations Driving efficient ways of working, streamlined verification processes, and good tool support Ensuring team performance, belonging, and support for Test Managers’ test-plan commitments Strong verification understanding and team leadership The ideal candidate is energized by ambitious goals, complex challenges, and the opportunity to shape what comes next. You have several years of experience from technical leadership, preferably within test engineering, system integration, verification, or complex hardware/software systems. You understand what it takes to build and maintain the skills, processes, capacity, and tool landscape needed for reliable and efficient system verification in a matrix organization. Aside from this, your CV includes several of the following areas: Technical leadership of test engineers or verification specialists Matrix collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and capacity coordination System verification, test strategy, or validation of complex technical systems Automated test frameworks and tools Experience with systems engineering in relation to complex systems Regulatory and environmental compliance (e.g., CE, MIL-spec) Engineering degree in electronics, systems engineering, software or a related technical field. Relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB) We expect you to have familiarity with AI and its business applications, combined with an understanding and preferably practical experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
