Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to serve as the primary resource for inbound telephone calls, minimizing workflow interruptions due to non-clinical related customer inquiries. This role involves scheduling medication delivery and payments, handling customer inquiries, and updating progress notes to ensure smooth workflow and prompt customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary contact for inbound telephone calls related to non-clinical customer inquiries such as general prescription status and financial information. • Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule medication delivery and payments, ensuring accurate information in profiles for timely package distribution. • Respond directly to customer inquiries or route calls to appropriate staff for prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. • Update concise progress notes to facilitate quick status assessments by other roles within the workflow. • Provide customer service by manipulating management information systems to address questions regarding refill needs, prescription status, insurance verification, and invoice requests. • Answer patient questions during refill scheduling and transfer calls to clinical team pharmacists and nurses as appropriate. • Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians to ensure patient safety. • Perform other duties as assigned, with tasks varying slightly depending on specific team or program requirements. Essential Skills • Registered Pharmacy Technician in NC is preferred. • Proficient in call center operations and management information systems. • Skilled in using Microsoft applications. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to show empathy when communicating with patients. • Professional telephone manner. • Strong attention to detail. • Customer service experience is preferred. • Experience in a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in a pharmacy setting is beneficial. • Experience with medical claims is a plus but not required. Work EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid work environment following a 12-week training period, which occurs from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, entirely in the office. Once training is complete and performance metrics are consistently met, the schedule will shift to 11:30am to 8pm, with the possibility of working 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely. The work location is in Cary, NC, USA. The role requires a professional dress code and the ability to work effectively both in-office and remotely. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
