Internship Program Requirements • Education: Currently pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and summer 2029. • Academic performance: Minimum overall GPA of 2.8. • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location. • Geographic flexibility: Willingness to relocate to an ADM location in North America. • Availability: Must be available for a 12-week internship from mid-May through early August 2027. • Background check: Successful completion of a background check is required. • Work authorization: ADM is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Intern to join our ADM Engineering Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity for current college students pursuing AS/AA degree programs in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design or a related field to grow their skills and build a career in CAD design and drafting. The CAD Design Intern will assist in the creation and modification of detailed 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and other team members to produce accurate and high-quality design documents. Job Responsibilities • The CAD Intern’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Manage assigned projects for Summer 2027, with assistance from hiring manager and other Engineering Services colleagues. • Projects are assigned by the MPP Manager. Project tasks are carried out under the direction of the Project Manager and Project Engineer. • MPP Manager and Lead Designer will provide mentorship and direction. • Develop CAD deliverables per requirements and specifications, and ensure that they are complete and accurate. The deliverables include but are not limited to: 2D drawings, 3D models, P&ID & PFD’s. • Develop skills to read and interpret design drawings. • Assist with field work, such as information gathering and laser scanning. • Responsible for accurate and timely project file management (CAD files, vendor files, emails, etc.) and dissemination of project information. • Present findings, project results and recommendations to engineering leadership at the conclusion of the internship. : Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
