Job Description: Seed Commercial Support (12 month FTC) Job Purpose: Providing maternity cover within the Agri-Inputs Seed Team being responsible for supporting the delivery of a profitable, successful and strongly-coordinated department. Working closely with the Seed Trader, Farm Traders, suppliers and the wider Agri-Inputs Team, the role provides day-to-day commercial, technical and operational support across the seed business. The role is focused on providing effective day-to-day support and continuity during the maternity-cover period. This includes managing seed-related enquiries, supporting commercial activity, coordinating information across relevant teams, and assisting with the operational requirements of the seed business. During the maternity-cover period, the Seed Trader will assume additional commercial and planning responsibilities. The Seed Commercial Support role will therefore provide additional day-to-day capacity, ensuring that routine commercial, customer and operational activities continue to be managed effectively. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Farm Trader Support • Act as a key day-to-day point of contact for Farm Traders regarding seed-related enquiries. • Provide timely and commercially focused support to Farm Traders. • Assist with seed quotations, pricing enquiries and product recommendations. • Prepare and distribute seed price lists, availability updates and other relevant commercial information. • Monitor seed stocks, product availability, seasonal demand and sales activity. • Support the Seed Trader with day-to-day commercial seed activities. • Liaise with suppliers, breeders and internal teams to obtain and communicate relevant commercial and product information. • Follow up outstanding queries and actions to ensure issues are resolved promptly. Sales, Technical & Marketing Support • Assist with the preparation and distribution of seed sales literature, technical information and product updates. • Support new variety launches and seasonal seed campaigns. • Coordinate presentations, training materials and communications for Farm Traders. • Assist with the preparation of marketing materials and customer communications. • Ensure Farm Traders have timely access to the information and tools required to support the seed portfolio. • Support the coordination of meetings, events and other seed-related commercial activities as required.

Planning & Operational Support • Support the Seed Trader with production planning activities. • Assist with monitoring seed demand, stock positions and seasonal sales performance. • Collate information required to support cropping and production decisions. • Maintain effective communication between the Seed Team, Farm Traders, suppliers, growers, production and other relevant teams. • Identify potential stock, supply or demand issues and escalate these appropriately. • Provide day-to-day operational support to maintain continuity across the seed business during the maternity-cover period. Seed Orders & Administration • Monitor and respond to enquiries received through the Seed Orders inbox. • Support seed order processing and associated administration. • Maintain accurate and timely records and information. • Assist with resolving order, stock and availability queries in conjunction with the relevant teams. • Provide additional operational support during peak seasonal periods as required. Environmental • To operate and conduct our business in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way. • To undertake daily tasks in line with requirements of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS). • Seek and provide ideas to improve company performance in accordance with the EMS.

: Key Skills & Competencies: Essential • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, liaising with Farm Traders, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders. • Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and enquiries. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. • Good commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Competence in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use relevant business systems. • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team. • Responsive and customer-focused approach. • Ability to ask questions, follow up actions and drive tasks through to completion. Desirable • Agricultural, seed or arable crop knowledge. • Previous experience within the agricultural or seed sector. • Experience in a commercial, customer-facing or sales-support environment. • Experience supporting sales teams or account managers. • Understanding of seasonal agricultural markets and/or supply chains.
