Position Summary
The Procore Project Administrator is an enterprise-level, senior individual-contributor role. You will manage the daily administration, configuration, and governance of Pike's Procore platform across the fixed-price project portfolio.
This role partners with the PMO, Operations, and IT to ensure every fixed-price project is set up correctly, consistently governed, and supported from pre-construction through closeout. This is a hands-on, process-driven role for someone who has administered Procore before and understands construction project management. This job is on-site in Charlotte, NC reporting to the Director of PMO.
Essential Functions:
Platform Administration & Configuration:
Responsible for Procore company and project-level configuration, standards, and templates across all Pike entities
Manage users, permission templates, and the required project roles following established access standards; provision and deprovision access and keep role assignments accurate
Review and approve requests for elevated Procore permissions
Maintain separation of responsibilities between Project Managers, Project Administrators, and other administrative roles
Configure and maintain tools, custom fields, and workflows (including change-order and cost-change approvals) that support automated Oracle integration
Perform periodic security and role clean-up to remove permission drift and enforce least-privilege access
Troubleshoot complex Procore configuration, permissions, workflow, and data issues
Determine whether issues originate from project configuration, user permissions, workflow logic, integration behavior, or system functionality
Document root cause and implement or coordinate corrective action
Escalate platform defects to Procore or IT when appropriate
Project Setup & Governance:
Create projects, including child and intercompany projects, where scenarios are not inherited from the Bid Board
Assign the required project roles at setup so PMs start from a correct, standardized baseline
Edit, lock, and unlock budgets — safeguarding the original/baseline budget while PMs continue to load and manage working budgets
Delete Prime Contracts when required
Configure change-order and cost-change workflows per project and hand PMs a ready-to-run setup
Change Management, Training and Adoption:
Support onboarding, training, office hours, and hypercare for PMs and Operations
Reinforce SOPs and standard operating practices; translate enhancement releases into clear, adoption-ready guidance
Escalate issues for Procore configuration questions and troubleshooting
Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and escalate Procore exception reporting
Maintain the accuracy of data that feeds portfolio and executive reporting
Identify process and configuration improvements and contribute to enhancement governance and release readiness
