Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post.Final Clearance for the Role Secret Shift 1 Relocation Possible Level Of Experience Experienced Professional Clearance Required to Start Interim Secret Telework Employee will work Onsite Full Time Functional Area Operations FT/PT/Casual FullTime Business Area Aeronautics Company Salary Range $81,500.00 - $151,300.00 Standard Job Description The Palmdale Transportation and Chemical Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all crane operators, forklift operators, chemical‑replenishment attendants, and commercial highway truck drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely movement of aircraft parts, tooling, and materials throughout the manufacturing support chain. This role plans, coordinates, and monitors daily logistics operations, enforces compliance with safety and environmental regulations, manages resource allocation, and resolves operational issues that could impact production flow. The supervisor also conducts performance evaluations, provides training on equipment and chemical handling procedures, and collaborates with engineering, production, and supply‑chain teams to continuously improve transportation processes and support overall mission readiness. Addionally, you may attend status meetings advising management of the status of work in progress, and material availability. You must have the ability to resolve issues that may arise in the manufacturing process by interfacing with all supporting organization and be flexible, open minded and capable of managing multiple tasks. This role also provides you with the ability to collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Basic Qualifications Experience with maintaining compliance documentation, incident reporting, and regulatory audit preparation. Secret clearance. Minimum 2 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a logistics, material handling, or transportation setting. Proficient computer skills: comfortable using email, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic data‑entry or reporting tools. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with operators, drivers, cross‑functional teams, and senior management. Desired Skills In‑depth knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, especially Hours‑of‑Service (HoS) rules and driver‑qualification requirements. Familiarity with California‑specific chemical storage regulations, Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) standards, and state air‑quality reporting obligations. Proficiency in proper material‑handling techniques for forklifts, including load‑capacity calculations, stability controls, and routine safety inspections. Understanding of NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) principles, certification standards, and applicable crane‑operation regulations. Ability to develop, implement, and audit safety programs for hazardous‑material handling, spill response, and emergency‑evacuation procedures. Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management system requirements and experience conducting or supporting internal/external ISO 14001 audits. Experience with maintaining compliance documentation, incident reporting, and regulatory audit preparation. Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00
