Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Advanced Programs (AP) is seeking a Cyber Program Manager Senior Manager with an entrepreneurial streak who is capable of engaging existing and new Lockheed Martin customers. You will serve as a Program Manager for embedded cyber security assessments, products, and R&D for Lockheed Martin product lines, leading the execution of advanced development programs and investments that support critical national security missions. Your work supports our customers by leading diverse teams to develop, design, test, and integrate solutions that protect platform/weapon systems from increasingly sophisticated threats through the research, development, and delivery of advanced security solutions.
You will be responsible for proactively managing program execution across cost, schedule, technical performance, and contract requirements while ensuring successful delivery of program objectives, customer commitments, and strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound business acumen, and the ability to effectively manage geographically dispersed cross-functional teams through all phases of program execution.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day activities of cyber security products, development programs, and research & development. This role requires close coordination across Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Planning, Global Supply Chain, subcontractors, and internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative cyber security solutions within a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Lead daily program execution activities and ensure alignment with technical, business, and strategic objectives. Oversee program cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. Monitor schedule performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to maintain program execution objectives. Validate technical deliverables against customer requirements, program milestones, and quality standards. Coordinate across Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Planning, Global Supply Chain, subcontractors, and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless program execution and communication. Serve as the primary customer interface for program execution activities and communicate program status, risks, and recovery plans. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or a related discipline. 12 years of Program Management, Project Management, or related experience within the aerospace and defense industry. Demonstrated ability to support execution of development programs involving cost, schedule, technical performance, and contract requirements. Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities across Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Planning, Procurement, and Operations organizations to accomplish program objectives. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technically complex environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal leadership, customers, subcontractors, and technical teams. Working knowledge of program management principles, risk management practices, and program execution methodologies. Experience using business and program management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project or OpenPlan, SAP, and other scheduling or financial management systems. Ability to operate with limited day-to-day direction while demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and accountability in program execution activities. Understanding of how program performance impacts broader business operations, customer relationships, and strategic objectives. Ability to travel domestically on a limited basis to customer, supplier, subcontractor, and internal company facilities as required. Active US-DOD Secret Clearance Desired Skills Desired Skills:
Advanced degree preferred and/or professional certifications for cyber or program management. Experience supporting technology transition efforts from development into production or operational use. Familiarity with development, testing and deployment of cyber security systems for military, scientific, and/or commercial applications. Familiarity working with government laboratories, DoD customers, or federally funded research organizations. Active or ability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI Clearance. Pay Information
