About this role
37 Hours per week,39 weeks per year (to include training days)
Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of school life, providing first aid and medical support to students while also playing a key role in promoting excellent attendance.
You will be the first point of contact for students requiring medical assistance, ensuring that those with both short-term illnesses and longer-term medical needs receive appropriate care, support and reassurance. Alongside this, you will work closely with students, families and staff to monitor attendance, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring every young person has the best opportunity to succeed.
The successful candidate will be calm under pressure, highly organised and able to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues alike. You will be an excellent communicator with a compassionate and professional approach, recognising the important role you play in supporting the health, wellbeing and educational outcomes of our students.

We are looking for someone who:
Holds a minimum First Aid at Work qualification (3-day course) or is willing to maintain this qualification. Has experience of working in a health, welfare or attendance role. Is highly organised with excellent administrative and record-keeping skills. Can remain calm and make sound decisions in a busy school environment. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is approachable, caring and committed to supporting young people. Has excellent attendance, reliability and time management skills. Is able to work effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiative. In return, we can offer:
