Main Purpose of the Role
Lead and oversee Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and the Read Write Inc programClass based teacher in KS1 classroom for 0.6 daysModel outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues to raise teaching standardsContribute to the strategic leadership of our large, rapidly improving schoolPromote and uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and equality Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Read Write IncSupport and develop high-quality teaching and learning across these areasAct as a role model of outstanding classroom practice, coaching and mentoring staff as neededContribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planningWork closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership teamEnsure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to at all timesChampion equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the schoolFoster strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the communitySeek permission from your Governing Board for temporary release if currently employed elsewhere
