Job title: Business Support Administrator

Salary: PATH 4. £26,429 FTE, £11,191 prorated

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Working days: 3 days per week, to be discussed at interview

Working weeks: Term time only + 2 INSET days

Contract type: Fixed term until 31/08/2027

About the role

As Business Support Administrator you will provide crucial support to keep school operations running smoothly. You’ll work with the Operations Manager to handle administrative tasks and create a welcoming environment for visitors and the school community.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to parent or public inquiriesmanage staff calendars and schedule meetings.Enter student and staff information into school software and keep spreadsheets up to date.Help organise travel, bookings, and paperwork for school outings and visits.Assist with monitoring students during break times when needed.Follow school procedures and policies to ensure the school site remains safe and secure.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and has a positive approach to customer service.

You will:

Have excellent organisation and administration skills Possess the ability to stay calm under pressure, priorities tasks and pay close attention to detail Be able to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing needsBuilds strong, positive relationships with students, staff and familiesHave strong adaptable IT skills Be a positive role model for staff and students alikeCommunicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingBe committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleHave a good general education (GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent)
