About this role
Collaborate with GCOO (Group Chief Operating Officer) Risk & Control team to ensure all issues/actions tracked appropriately and acting as key escalation for CIB outcomes and activities Ensure CIB business is well-versed with a strong understanding of all policies and procedures relevant to the business. Ensure that adequate controls are in place within CIB to manage the financial crime risk(s) activities, working with regional and global colleagues to promote and enhance local knowledge and provide thought leadership. Support, contribute and influence entity-wide risk and control projects and BAU (Business as usual) activities Design, chair and participate in relevant oversight and management meetings demonstrating good governance and control to provide performance insights on a timely basis in order to support business decision making. Ensure appropriate governance and oversight is developed and implemented for the services provided by DBS (Digital Business Services) to CIB Provide performance oversight of third party or intra-group service providers Strong knowledge of CIB COO (Chief Operations Officer), and CIB Client segments - i.e., the customer proposition, the channels and operations, and the key financial performance drivers Strong knowledge of operational and business management Strong knowledge of HSBC policies, procedures and structures inclusive of AML (Anti Money Laundering) and Credit Risk Broad knowledge of financial services industry and global marketplace A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance Excellent experience in working, building relationships, and influencing senior stakeholders Excellent experience in navigating the organisation to deliver at pace Strong experience of workforce strategy and people management Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions Strong interpersonal skills with highly developed capacity to influence senior teams
