Main duties of the job
Job Overview
The post holder will be responsible for project managing the mobilisation of the new 13 Neighbourhood Mental Health teams.
Reporting to the AD for Community Transformation, this role provides high-quality project management, delivery leadership and stakeholder engagement across the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme (CMHTP). The post-holder will lead the planning and delivery of complex transformation initiatives across specific workstreams, applying project management methodologies to manage risks, dependencies, governance and benefits realisation. They will build effective relationships across multiple stakeholders and support decision-making through the production of high-quality analysis, options appraisals, briefings, Programme Board papers/Highlight Reports and programme reporting across workstreams, including Training, Estates and Operations.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday from 9AM to 5PM

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Manage the delivery of discrete projects and workstreams, developing and maintaining project plans, risks, issues, dependencies and change controls to ensure delivery against agreed milestones and objectives. Maintain action and decision logs, ensuring actions are owned, tracked and completed. Support benefits realisation, ensuring Project/Workstream objectives can be tracked, achieved and evidenced
Relationship Management: Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the Neighbourhood Division, Corporate Functions and CMHTP supporting workstreams. Manage complexity and interdependencies across workstreams, proactively resolving barriers and escalating risks where appropriate.
Writing: Produce high-quality options appraisals, briefing papers, highlight reports and Programme/Delivery Board presentations, ensuring outputs are evidence-based, accurate and suitable for senior decision-making.
Transformation: Lead or support current-state and future-state analysis, options appraisal, implementation planning and readiness assessments to support successful mobilisation and delivery of transformation initiatives.

Graduate qualification or equivalent experience

Project Management qualification (Prince2 or equivalent) or equivalent experience

Experience leading or coordinating complex projects/workstreams, including development of project plans, risk management, governance arrangements and production of Programme Board-level reporting Evidence of supporting multiple initiatives or projects concurrently with strong prioritisation, pace and attention to detail, delivering to tight deadlines Experience influencing and engaging a diverse range of clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders to secure delivery of agreed objectives and outcomes. Competent in using project management and visual tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word)

Demonstrate experience producing analysis such as demand & capacity, activity modelling, benefits modelling & tracking, and translating into clear written recommendations, packs or options appraisal Experience working in NHS Mental Health/Community Services or similar complex public sector environments
