We are currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individuals to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Operative - Domestic/Ward Catering based at Chepstow Community Hospital. These roles is vital in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff while supporting the delivery of high-quality catering services on our wards.

Main duties of the job What You'll Do

As a Facilities Operative, you will undertake a variety of domestic cleaning and ward catering duties, including:

Cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas to agreed standards. Cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, washrooms and patient areas. Collecting and disposing of waste safely. Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls. Assisting with patient meal and beverage services. Maintaining ward kitchens to a high standard of hygiene. Monitoring food temperatures and refrigeration checks. Ordering and managing catering supplies and stock rotation. Supporting patient hydration by replenishing water jugs and maintaining drinking equipment.

Education & Training Essential

Basic general education Literate & Numerate Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post

BIFM/NVQ level 2

Knowledge and Experience Desirable

Experience of working in a healthcare or hospitality environment
