This is a pivotal leadership role for a motivated, collaborative individual passionate about delivering quality patient care, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and learning.
Reporting to the Medical Director and working with our GP Clinical Leads and Head of Nursing, the post holder will shape the strategic direction of quality and governance across Lakeside Healthcare. Acting as the organisation's subject matter expert and primary point of contact for clinical quality and governance matters, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership to ensure high standards of clinical practice and patient safety are maintained.
This is an opportunity to develop, implement, and enhance governance and quality frameworks across one of the UK's largest GP partnerships. You will lead quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities, supporting teams to embed best practice and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will champion a culture of openness, transparency, and learning, providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to multidisciplinary teams across the organisation.
This role is ideally suited to someone with significant leadership experience in primary care looking to apply their expertise on a larger scale, influence decision-making, and drive improvements in quality, governance, and patient safety across a complex, evolving healthcare environment.

We're seeking an experienced Clinical Quality & Governance Manager to lead governance, quality improvement, and compliance programmes across our sites. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Degree in healthcare, clinical governance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Evidence of continued professional development in quality improvement, patient safety, or clinical governance
Desirable
Masters degree in healthcare management, public health, or quality improvement. Formal training or certification in quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA). Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GMC, or equivalent).
Experience Essential
Substantial experience in a senior management role within Primary Care. Demonstrable experience in clinical governance, patient safety, or quality improvement roles within Primary Care. Experience leading audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory readiness activities. Proven track record of supporting or leading CQC inspections and regulatory compliance efforts. Experience of incident management, including investigation, reporting, and implementing learning. Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and supporting change in clinical practice.
Desirable
Experience delivering governance or quality training to healthcare professionals. Engagement with patient forums, Healthwatch, or similar external stakeholders.
