Job Title: Data Analyst and Quality Lead

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Contract Length: 14 month secondment/fixed-term vacancy covering maternity leave until January 2028.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a curious, collaborative and flexible individual with a track record of delivering organisational effectiveness.

You will bring:

A strong ability to develop and implement data management schedules, processes and tools, ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency across tools and systems.

Experience of co-ordinating data collecting and producing data visuals and dashboards to support our operational governance framework, complete checks and analysis, validate data, trends and opportunities for improvement.

Demonstrable project management skills and experience

An ability to work effectively across organisational and sector boundaries.

Experience in supporting organisations to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for patients, populations and communities

Experience within healthcare or innovation would be advantageous

Job description Job responsibilities

Health Innovation Wessex is looking for a Data Analyst and Quality Lead to support our work across locally and nationally commissioned innovation programmes and provide to corporate reporting.

This is a key role helping us strengthen data quality, develop dashboards and reports, and provide the insight our teams, leaders and partners need to understand performance, manage risk and demonstrate impact.

Youll work across a varied portfolio, collaborating with colleagues and partners across health, care, academia and industry. Were looking for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate data clearly to different audiences

What You'll Be Responsible For

You will:

Hold responsibility for project managing our external data submissions for our NHS England and Office for Life Science commissions.

Support teams to demonstrate their impact across delivery programmes.

Represent the organisation at external data and performance meeting.

Develop and implement data management schedules, processes and tools, ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency across tools and systems.

Co-ordinate data collecting and produce data visuals and dashboards to support our operational governance framework, complete checks and analysis, validate data, trends and opportunities for improvement.

Maintain a central repository for status reports and provide timely updates and performance reports.

Person Specification

Qualifications / training required Essential

Professionally qualified or a relevant degree, plus extensive project or programme management experience or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline Educated to MSc level or equivalent in data science, data analytics Knowledge of the specialist work practices and/ or professional guidelines relevant to the Health Innovation Wessex's area

Management/leadership qualifications or training

Previous or relevant experience necessary Essential

Significant knowledge and experience of developing data models and reports working with both quantitative and qualitative data A thorough understanding of best practices in data management including knowledge and experience in data quality, ideally within the context of an organisation that reports to multiple commissioners Experience of co-ordination and planning of complex information improvement projects Experience of working closely with others to specify project analysis and outputs

Desirable

Knowledge and experience of the NHS and local health and social service functions Understanding of current policy and national drivers
