Main duties of the job Join our growing Cardiology Department as an Interventional Cardiologist and help shape the future of cardiovascular care at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. You will deliver high-quality coronary intervention services, contribute to the regional PPCI rota, and support the expansion of interventional cardiology, including our developing second catheter laboratory. Provide high-quality interventional cardiology services, including coronary intervention, outpatient care, and inpatient support. Participate in the Cardiologist of the Week and regional PPCI on-call rotas, contribute to MDTs, support education and training, and help drive the continued development and expansion of cardiology services at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. Opportunities to develop interests in CTCA and Medical Education are available.

It is expected that the appointee will: Participate in the cardiologist of the week rota including weekends Contribute to the interventional service at MFT Contribute to the cardiology in reach service Cardiology Department Educational/Teaching lead SDEC Cardiology Oversight Undertake at least 2 sessions in outpatient clinics per week Attend weekly MDT and JCC meeting Help supervise a team of trainee medical and nursing staff PPCI sessions at EKHUFT (1:12 on call frequency) with compensatory time off after on-calls.

Consultant Cardiologist with an interest in Coronary Intervention Basic Medical Degree MRCP (UK) or equivalent CCST/CCT in Cardiology (or will obtain within 6 months)

BSE Accreditation MD/PhD Medical educational qualifications
Knowledge Essential
Clinical Governance principles.
