Job summary

Bank Registered Nurse

We are currently recruiting to our Trust's Temporary Staffing Team - Bank on Us and we are seeking Registered Adult Nurses with a valid NMC registration that have a minimumof twelve months post graduate experience within an acute hospital setting in the UK. You must work well in a team and be reliable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, as well as adaptable and flexible to changing situations, working within Trust policies and the NMC Code of Conduct.

We are especially keen to hear from those available to work day shifts.

The Trust covers different hospital sites the main site being St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey and also includes Ashford Hospital and Woking Community Hospital.

We have bank shifts in a variety of areas such

Urgent and Emergency care includes the Emergency Department Inpatient medical, surgical, orthopaedic and care of the elderly wards Intensive Care Unit with a combination of Intensive care beds and HDU beds Once you have completed the Bank Pre-Registration process you will be booked to attend the Trust's Induction Programme, this is approx. 5/6 days. This commitment is required to support and enhance your current skills and knowledge.

Main duties of the job

Undertaking shifts as a Bank Registered Nurse on a temporary basis in a ward / department within the hospital setting.

Working effectively and efficiently and in collaboration with the multi professional teams to deliver high quality and individualised patient care.

Be responsible to the nurse in charge or where appropriate act as shift leader, delivering direct patient care as assigned and supporting junior colleagues

The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients. Whether this is supporting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery following an operation or a period of acute illness or providing holistic and compassionate care for patients at the end of life.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

NMC Adult Nurse Registration Evidence of post graduate continuing professional development

Experience Essential

12 months post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting in the UK

Skills Essential

Effective communication, Good IT/Computer skills Caring, compassionate and empathetic.

Other requirements Essential
