Spire Dunedin Hospital is currently recruiting for a Cardiac Sonographer to join the team on a bank basis, supporting the Cardiology Outpatient Service.

Main duties of the job

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing echocardiography investigations for adults and adolescent patients, as part of the BSE guidance Assess patients health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload. Provide reports for scans Contribute to the implementation of new cardiac services. Contribute to quality improvement. Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility
