Job summary
Thornbury Road Centre for Health is a friendly and supportive GP practice in Isleworth, serving a patient population of over 9,000.
We are looking for a motivated Salaried GP to join our established clinical team for 4 to 6 sessions per week ( 13- months Maternity Cover).
This is a temporary 13 month maternity cover position, running from 1st March 2027 to 1st April 2028.
We are based in purpose built premises with staff parking and work closely with our Brentford and Isleworth Primary Care Network. Our clinical team includes GP partners, salaried GPs, nurse practitioners and healthcare assistants, with additional support from PCN colleagues including a clinical pharmacist, paramedic, dietitian, physician associate and social prescriber.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality patient care within a supportive and collaborative environment, with excellent administrative support, including document workflow, coding and clinical actions.
The practice uses TPP SystmOne, including Ardens clinical support templates, and has a strong record of QOF achievement. We are CQC rated Good.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide high quality general medical services to our registered patient population, including face to face and telephone consultations, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, prescribing and appropriate referrals.
The role will also include undertaking home visits where required, reviewing test results and clinical correspondence, maintaining accurate patient records, contributing to clinical decision making and safeguarding, and working collaboratively with the wider practice and Primary Care Network team.
The GP will be expected to participate in clinical governance, QOF and other practice initiatives, while contributing to a supportive and patient-centred team environment.

Job description Job responsibilities
The Salaried GP will provide high quality, patient-centred primary care to the practice population, including face to face and telephone consultations, urgent care and home visits. The role includes managing acute and long term conditions, prescribing, referrals, reviewing results and clinical correspondence, and completing SystmOne and other administrative tasks.
The GP will work collaboratively with the wider practice team, maintain accurate clinical records, follow practice policies and clinical guidelines, and contribute to QOF, clinical governance, audits, quality improvement and practice development.
The role also includes attending practice meetings, supporting the training and supervision of healthcare professionals and students, maintaining professional development, completing appraisal and revalidation requirements, and supporting the practice in delivering its strategic objectives.
The GP may also be asked to participate in practice audits, local service improvement initiatives and reviews of significant or near miss events.

Qualifications Essential
