Storyside is Storytel Group's dedicated digital publisher, offering a multi-language content catalogue with a strong focus on high-quality audio experiences.

Storyside is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Senior Editor to join our Swedish publishing team and help shape a growing catalogue of compelling stories. This role is based in Sweden and reports to the Head of Publishing Sweden.

Your Mission

As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for scouting, developing and publishing compelling and high-performing content for the Swedish market. You will manage your own portfolio of publishing projects from concept to publication, working closely with authors, agents and colleagues across Storytel Group.

This is an opportunity for someone who combines strong editorial judgement with commercial thinking and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Scouting and acquiring content projects in relevant genres and formats

Developing projects together with authors, agents and other creative partners

Managing projects from concept through production and publication

Preparing business cases and monitoring the commercial performance of your titles

Building and maintaining strong relationships with authors, agents and industry contacts.

Staying up to date on publishing trends, listening behaviour and market developments

Qualifications and Experience

5+ years' experience in publishing, preferably within digital publishing or audiobooks

Strong commercial editorial judgement and a passion for storytelling

A proven ability to identify authors, concepts and series with commercial potential

Experience managing publishing projects independently

A data-driven mindset and the ability to evaluate performance using commercial insights

A structured way of working and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

A native Swedish speaker with fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
