The Arthur Terry School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised Attendance Officer to join our committed pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting student success and wellbeing through excellent attendance and engagement. We are looking for an Attendance Officer who:
Has a strong commitment to improving student attendance and educational outcomesBuilds positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies to support regular school attendanceMonitors, analyses, and reports on attendance data accurately and effectivelyWorks proactively to identify and address barriers to attendanceIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleWorks collaboratively with pastoral, safeguarding, and leadership teams to support student successWhat you'll need to succeed
Experience of working in a school, education, or customer-focused environmentStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detailConfidence in using management information systems and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleaguesThe ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentialityA proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamWhat you'll get in return
