35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
38 weeks per year - Term time plus inset days

St Clere’s School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisor to support cover within the school. A candidate who has previous relevant experience would be at an advantage. St Clere’s School has previously supported Cover Supervisors to complete their Teaching Training and progress to a teaching role within the school.
Key Duties of the role:
Supervising classes and supporting pupilsDelivering cover work set by the class teacherProviding feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil’s progress against lesson plans, conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil related recordsDealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and proceduresCollecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacherProvide additional support to teachers in classrooms, to carry out administrative tasks when not covering a classAct as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour and adhering to the schools behaviour management policySt Clere’s School is a high achieving, oversubscribed school with a “Good” Ofsted rating and consistently high student outcomes, demand for places is increasing year on year, with over 1200 students attending from across Thurrock.
