Christopher Nieper Education Trust is a growing, forward-thinking, community-based multi-academy trust serving children, young people and communities across Derbyshire. Our work is rooted in a clear purpose: to raise aspirations, create opportunities and improve life chances for young people. We are proud of the collaborative and supportive culture that comes from being a close-knit Trust. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, underpinned by a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.

As we enter the next stage of our development, we are seeking an exceptional Deputy Chief Executive Officer to join our Trust and work alongside the CEO and Trust team to help shape our future. This is a newly created role, established to strengthen our leadership capacity, drive excellence across teaching and learning, curriculum development and professional development and support the next phase of the Trust’s development.

Established in 2015, the Trust has grown from a single academy into a family of schools serving pupils aged 3 to 18. From the remarkable transformation of David Nieper Academy to the successful integration of our primary schools, our journey has been defined by ambition, collaboration and an unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for young people. We will soon be a Trust of five schools, with further growth anticipated in the years ahead.

Our schools serve communities with diverse needs and varying levels of disadvantage. We are deeply committed to ensuring every child can thrive, regardless of background or circumstance. Through strong partnerships with families, communities and employers, we help young people develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future success.

We are looking for a highly credible educational leader with experience of school and Trust leadership, with the credibility and versatility to operate effectively across both primary and secondary phases. The successful candidate will combine educational expertise with strategic thinking and will be passionate about developing people, strengthening systems and improving outcomes for children and young people.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future direction of a growing Trust, working closely with talented Headteachers, dedicated colleagues and a committed Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will help create the conditions in which pupils, staff and schools can flourish while contributing significantly to the next chapter of our story.

We are seeking a leader who embraces collaboration, is prepared to take a hands-on approach when required and who shares our belief that education should equip young people with both academic excellence and the skills needed to succeed in life and work.

This opportunity will particularly appeal to an ambitious leader who wants to help shape the future of a growing Trust while making a meaningful difference to the communities it serves. Further details can be found at www.berg-christophernieper.co.uk
