An opportunity has arisen at Booker Park School for a School Cleaner to join our team, taking pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard and undertaking necessary procedures to assist with day-to-day maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring our school remains clean, hygienic and well presented. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and other school facilities, using a range of cleaning equipment and materials.
Monday - Friday, 2.5 hours per day, 39 weeks per year (see Job Description & Person Specification for further information)

Has experience of general cleaning duties.
Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Has excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Works effectively as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues when required.
Is physically capable of undertaking the duties of the role.
Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Experience working within a school environment or with children and young people with SEND would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Job overview
As part of our wider school team, you will be reliable, have good health & physical fitness. You will carry out daily cleaning duties including sweeping, hoovering, mopping, dusting, and emptying bins across areas of the school. Clean classrooms, offices, toilets, training rooms, and corridors to a high standard. Undertake specialist cleaning tasks in designated areas at specific times of the year (e.g. deep cleaning during holidays), ensure cleaning supplies are used efficiently and report any maintenance or health & safety issues.
