About this role

We are looking to appoint a After School Club Playworkers to join our team at Stewart Fleming Primary School, this positions is term time only for 38 weeks of the year working Monday to Friday between 15.00-18.00. The position involves working closely with the children to provide encouragement, friendship and supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

To assist the manager in offering the children a wide range of play activities and ensuring that the club offers the children a relaxed, informed and caring environment.To work under the guidance of the After-School Club Leader, Extended School Leader and Head Teacher to provide child care for pupils attending the After-School Club Engaging and interacting with pupilAssist in the preparation of snacks, cleaning away and washing up when required.To be responsible to a group of children as designated by the managerIf you are interested in applying for the post, please see the Job Description/Person Specification. Further vetting checks, in line with the requirements of Keeping children safe in education 2026 will be completed following a provisional offer of appointment. Where applicable, if an applicant with a provisional offer of employment has lived and/or worked outside the UK, they will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct or other overseas police check. Candidates will be required to arrange this themselves if they do not already have the necessary certificate.
