About this role

Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow and develop their confidence? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join Lift Ashingdon working 23.75hours a week.

This is more than a support role. You'll work alongside teachers to help students access learning, build confidence and achieve their goals. You'll also have the chance to grow your own skills through our Level 3 and Level 5 Teaching Assistant programmes, or even our Initial Teacher Training if you're thinking about a teaching career.

About the role You will get to know pupils' individual learning needs, including specific SEND needs, and provide the right support to help them take part fully in lessons. You will also deliver individual and small-group interventions, promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social, emotional and mental wellbeing, including personal care where required.

Working alongside teachers, the SENDCO, pastoral colleagues and families, you will play an important part in creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

If you have GCSEs in Maths and English (or are willing to work towards them), good communication skills and a calm, patient approach, we'd love to hear from you.
