Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support production operations at asphalt plants and terminals. This position is responsible for electrical installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Our facilities use PLCs, motor controls, control circuits, and motor control centers (MCCs) in the production of hot-mix asphalt. Work is performed at multiple locations in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and systems. • Perform electrical upgrades and complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, relay logic, motor controls, and MCCs. • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, job specifications, and construction documents. • Bend and install rigid conduit, EMT, and PVC conduit up to 4 inches, including underground installations. • Diagnose electrical problems and make repairs with minimal disruption to plant production. • Work independently or as part of a larger project and maintenance team. • Move between plants and assignments based on production and maintenance needs. • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. • Complete work orders, inspection forms, and other required paperwork. • Complete all company-required safety and technical training. • Follow the direction of supervisors and other project team members. • Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively. • Follow company safety policies and applicable electrical codes. • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous industrial electrical experience. • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics. • Working knowledge of relay logic, PLC controls, motor controls, and MCCs. • Experience bending and installing rigid conduit, EMT, and PVC conduit up to 4 inches. • Good working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work safely with limited supervision. • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. • Ability to pass company-required drug and alcohol screenings.

Physical and Work Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 125 feet. • Ability to work indoors and outdoors throughout the year. • Ability to work in wind, rain, snow, heat, cold, dust, and loud industrial environments. • Ability to work around operating asphalt-production equipment and vehicle traffic. • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. • Ability to work variable hours, including occasional nights and weekends, based on production, maintenance, and emergency repair needs. • Ability to travel between company plants and terminals as assigned.
