Building Maintenance Associate – Toronto Position Summary The Building Maintenance Associate supports the day-to-day maintenance and operational needs of office facilities in Toronto. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, supporting workplace functionality, coordinating minor repairs, and assisting with overall building operations to help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for employees and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate office environment. Key Responsibilities Building Maintenance and Operations

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks including minor repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities. • Support general upkeep of office spaces, meeting rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities. • Assist with furniture moves, workstation setups, and office reconfigurations. • Monitor building conditions and report operational or maintenance concerns promptly. • Coordinate and support maintenance work performed by external vendors and contractors. Facilities Support

• Respond to facilities service requests in a timely and professional manner. • Assist with lighting replacements, basic plumbing fixes, minor carpentry, and general maintenance duties. • Support office setup activities for meetings, events, and workplace initiatives. • Maintain tools, maintenance supplies, and storage areas in an organized manner. Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Support compliance with workplace safety procedures and building policies. • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues. • Assist with emergency response procedures and after-hours support when required. • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records. Vendor and Administrative Coordination

• Coordinate access and escort vendors or service providers when needed. • Assist with tracking maintenance activities, work orders, and operational documentation. • Support inventory management for maintenance and facilities supplies. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. • 2–4 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities support, or general maintenance roles. • Experience in commercial or corporate office environments preferred. • Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems. • Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment safely. • Familiarity with workplace health and safety practices. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Good organizational and time management abilities • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach • Ability to manage physical tasks in a safe and efficient manner Working Conditions

• Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular business hours. • Position is based onsite in Toronto. • Role requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and moving equipment or materials as part of daily activities. • Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required for maintenance activities, emergencies, or special projects. Preferred Attributes

• Experience supporting facilities operations in a corporate office environment. • Basic technical certifications or maintenance training considered an asset. • Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities and workplace needs.

Estimated compensation for this position:

42,000.00 – 52,000.00 CAD per year This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Some roles and employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, benefits, or other compensation.
