The Facilitator is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient production of products while supporting business forecasts, inventory targets, and customer requirements. This role provides first-line leadership for production personnel and oversees manufacturing, materials, facilities, maintenance, engineering, and distribution-related activities to maximize productivity, quality, and operational performance.

The Facilitator is accountable for achieving production goals, maintaining cost controls, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. This position works cross-functionally to improve manufacturing processes, optimize resource utilization, and support the achievement of operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervision and leadership to manufacturing personnel, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. • Direct daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules, inventory goals, quality requirements, and customer demand. • Assign work, establish personnel schedules, and provide guidance and support to production team members. • Monitor production performance and workforce productivity, taking corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets. • Ensure compliance with all quality management system requirements, including GMP, ISO 13485, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards. • Maintain accountability for the safety of employees and ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, systems, equipment performance, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. • Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Manage production resources and operational expenses to achieve financial and productivity goals. • Support equipment maintenance activities and coordinate maintenance and repair efforts to minimize downtime. • Maintain operational records and escalate recurring equipment or process issues that may require further investigation or capital investment. • Assist with supplier interactions and support contract discussions related to manufacturing equipment or operational needs. • Analyze production flow and identify potential manufacturing constraints, risks, or improvement opportunities. • Respond independently to routine operational challenges and support escalation of more complex issues when necessary. • Communicate business-related risks, opportunities, and operational performance to management. • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. • Support special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. • 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, production operations, engineering, supply chain, or a related operational environment. • Previous experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing or production setting. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, inventory management, and operational workflows. • Experience working within regulated environments with strong quality and compliance requirements. • Understanding of safety, environmental, and occupational health standards. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to respond effectively to operational issues. • Experience utilizing production metrics and KPIs to drive performance improvements. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and employee development skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing industries. • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Continuous Improvement certification. • Experience managing operational budgets and cost improvement initiatives. • Knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and occupational health and safety standards. • Experience supporting maintenance, engineering, or facilities-related projects. • SAP or ERP system experience. • Demonstrated success leading productivity, quality, or cost-reduction initiatives. • Experience supporting supplier management and manufacturing-related contract discussions. • Ability to lead change management and continuous improvement efforts across operations.
