About this role
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing a variety of electrical systems and components in County owned properties. Description:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including new construction and remodel of County buildings. Install, maintain and repair switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting systems, ups, motors and controls, VFD's, A/C units, fuel pumps and building automation systems. Ensure work is done in compliance with local electrical and safety codes and within budget.
• Maintain fire protection system, including control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, won doors, audio/visual, and door holders. Follow National Electrical Code and National Fire Protection Association codes.
• Provide emergency, on call response to situations involving floods, odors, lighting, HVAC, fire protection and security. Assess the emergency and respond accordingly. Call appropriate personnel if necessary.
• Maintain building automation systems, including programming and testing for the needs of County employees and public safety.
• Remove snow in a timely manner often after hours, weekends and holidays. Maintain snow removal equipment. Ensure public safety. • Shifts are 4 - 10 hours days per week.
• On call rotation required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred- Relevant Specialized Training Preferred - Five years of experience May be required to obtain a Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License during employment. May be required to possess a fork lift certification.
Salary ranges from $ 33.44 to $50.16 per hour Please apply by: October 04, 2026
