What You Will Do In this role, you will help shape and execute Johnson Controls’ strategic direction by partnering closely with Business Lines and senior leadership. You will support high-impact initiatives and complex strategic projects that drive sustainable growth, strengthen competitive positioning, and create long-term value.
You will lead the development of proprietary quantitative and qualitative insights, transforming complex data into actionable strategies that drive sustainable and profitable organic and inorganic growth. Through rigorous analysis and structured problem-solving, you will identify opportunities, shape strategic initiatives, and support critical business decisions that accelerate growth and strengthen long-term competitive advantage.
You will work closely with product, commercial, and finance teams to define JCI’s long-term vision, shape portfolio strategy, and identify investments aimed at creating shareholder value.
You will bring energy, act as a self-starter, and relentlessly pursue value creation for Johnson Controls. You will be embedded within the EMEA regional organization and work closely with both the Corporate Strategy and Commercial Operations teams.
How You Will Do It
• Support business strategy development through macroeconomic, industry, customer, and product analysis, identifying opportunities and risks and translating findings into value-creation initiatives • Develop perspectives on where to play and inform organic growth and M&A decisions, assess new technologies through technical and economic analysis, develop market models and business plans, and support commercial due diligence during transaction execution • Conduct comprehensive market research, maintain and enhance existing market models, assess external trends and regulations, and collaborate with regional and product management teams to inform strategic decisions • Coordinate and support regional transformation projects, bringing rigor through quantitative analysis and ensuring alignment across product, finance, and commercial teams • Conduct regular and ad hoc competitor analysis, adding an external perspective to the decision-making process • Support business reviews and long-term strategic planning preparation, providing leadership with regular updates through dashboards and KPIs
What We Look For Required
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field • 3-5 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a corporate strategy / development • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to manage large datasets, use Excel and relevant analytics tools, and ability to independently develop business plans • Ability to set priorities and navigate trade-offs in analytically rigorous, fast-paced environments with a strong sense of urgency and limited oversight • Proactive, collaborative, and hands-on approach to problem-solving • Strong teamwork, project management, and business acumen • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to develop clear, executive-level content • Open-minded and intellectually curious, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt in dynamic environments • Positive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail

• Experience in the energy, data centers or building technologies sector • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or another relevant advanced degree
