Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Lab Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Intel's advanced technology development efforts within an electron microscopy lab. Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing ultra-thin specimens and conducting TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) analysis to support process/product development, qualification, and failure analysis. This position is critical to ensuring high-quality materials characterization and supporting Intel's engineering innovation through precise and reliable data.

Business Group The Intel Foundry team is responsible for delivering cutting-edge manufacturing solutions that enable Intel's broader goals of advancing semiconductor technology. This group focuses on empowering process and product development through innovative sample preparation, imaging, and analysis techniques, enabling Intel to maintain its leadership in technology development.

Key Responsibilities - Perform advanced TEM sample preparation using dual-beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB) tools to support research and development activities. - Conduct imaging and analysis using TEM tools for characterization, process qualification, and failure analysis. - Execute engineering tasks and technical procedures such as fabrication, technology development, and process integration. - Maintain detailed records, analyze data, and present findings in compliance with lab procedures. - Troubleshoot non-standard problems and deliver solutions with a degree of judgment and critical thinking. - Continuously upgrade skills and knowledge through training, collaboration, and learning from peers. - Sustain and maintain lab tools, ensuring precision and readiness for analytical tasks. - Adhere to safety protocols, quality systems maintenance, and timely delivery of results aligned with Intel's high standards.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Material Science, with 0-3 years of hands-on experience in lab or manufacturing settings. - Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related technical field with 6-8 years of relevant experience. - Technical certification in fields related to lab operations or manufacturing. - Proficiency in using advanced electron microscopy equipment, including FIB and TEM tools.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience in military-relevant technical roles or comparable lab environments. - Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and tools. - Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic environments and prioritize workload effectively. - Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in collaborative team settings.
