About this role

Senior Global HR Strategy & Workforce Planning Consultant The world of work is changing rapidly. Technology, AI, regulation, demographic shifts and evolving business strategies are transforming workforce requirements across the banking industry.

As a Global HR Strategy & Workforce Planning Consultant, you will help ING anticipate and prepare for those changes. You will work directly with senior business and HR leaders to shape workforce strategies, identify critical people risks, and translate strategic ambitions into actionable workforce plans.

You will combine strategic thinking, analytics, stakeholder management and consulting expertise to influence decisions that impact the future workforce of ING.

The team You will be part of Global HR Strategy & Analytics within Global HR. The team partners with senior leaders across ING to shape enterprise workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness and future capability development.

The team operates at the intersection of business strategy, people strategy, analytics and transformation. We work across countries, domains and functions to support major strategic decisions and enable long-term organizational success.

Roles and responsibilities You will:

• Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives across global functions and business domains. • Advise senior stakeholders on workforce implications of strategic priorities, business transformations and emerging industry trends. • Diagnose workforce challenges through quantitative and qualitative analysis and identify root causes and strategic implications. • Develop workforce strategies, future workforce scenarios and capability roadmaps. • Design and facilitate executive workshops on workforce strategy, talent risks and organizational effectiveness. • Translate complex workforce and organizational data into clear recommendations for executive decision making. • Design and lead workforce planning methodologies, frameworks and governance improvements. • Drive cross-functional initiatives involving HR, Finance, Strategy and Business stakeholders. • Identify workforce opportunities and risks related to technology, AI, automation, regulation and market developments. • Influence strategic decisions through evidence-based consultancy and thought leadership. • Coach and support HR and business stakeholders in adopting workforce planning practices and tools.

You bring:

• Proven experience developing workforce, people or business strategies in a complex international matrix organization. • Strong consulting skills, including problem structuring, hypothesis-driven analysis and executive recommendation development. • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across organizational boundaries. • Experience translating data and analytics into actionable business decisions. • Strong understanding of organizational effectiveness, workforce planning and talent strategy. • Ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous and changing environments. • Collaborative mindset, willingness to share your knowledge and learn from others. • 6-10 years of substantial work experience together with comprehensive job related experience.
