About this role

Functional Business Analyst Do you enjoy turning complex processes and user-needs into practical digital solutions? Join ING’s Corporate Legal Operations team as a Functional Business Analyst and help improve the processes and applications that support legal work across our international organisation. You will work at the intersection of business analysis, legal technology and continuous improvement. You will contribute across our legal application landscape and help deliver improvements that make colleagues’ work simpler, more consistent and more efficient. The Corporate Legal Operations team You will join Corporate Legal Operations, a team of ten colleagues combining paralegal expertise, functional application management and project support. We manage important legal processes and applications used across ING, including solutions for legal entity management, Powers of Attorney, document management, board meetings and Microsoft Power Platform solutions that support various processes. We work pragmatically, support one another and welcome ideas that make our services easier and more effective.

Roles and responsibilities You will help shape how legal work is supported by technology across ING. The role combines business analysis, hands-on functional application management, user support and stakeholder coordination in an international setting at the heart of ING.

You will start with our legal entity management application and gradually broaden your impact across our legal tech landscape, the related processes and the needs of its users. This is an opportunity to combine analysis, technology and stakeholder collaboration.

Through these responsibilities and activities, you will deliver the following outcomes:

• Simpler processes with less manual work and avoidable user effort. • Successful application adoption through clear guidance and support. • Prompt incident resolution with proper follow-up and clear communication. • Clear requirements and practical improvements that address user needs. • More reliable, user-friendly and well-documented legal applications. • Implemented automation solutions that improve legal processes. • Effective coordination between Legal, external IT suppliers, ING Tech, the robotics team and colleagues globally.

Required skills and experience:

• A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, such as in Industrial Engineering & Management. • At least one year of relevant work experience in business analysis and/or functional application management, preferably within a corporate environment. • Fluency in spoken and written English. • A proactive, analytical, service-minded and constructively critical approach. • Strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritise effectively. • The ability to quickly understand and navigate applications and processes. • Experience with Lean, Agile or Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps is an advantage.
