Summary Serves as a logistics subject matter expert and trusted business partner responsible for data mining and analytics, market and process analysis, and forecasting. Researches and provides financial and business-related analyses to assess the impact of various projects, systems and transactions. Responsible for analyzing performance, identifying problems, making data-driven recommendations, and driving process improvements in support of business goals. Maintains and improves data integrity, accuracy and reporting. Performs a variety of professional administrative tasks in support of the organization's compliance function. Collaborates cross-functionally and provides support to multiple locations and a variety of stakeholders. Essential Functions This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. • Subject matter expert who utilizes data-driven insights to advise and recommend strategies for operational improvements, future business initiatives, and adapting strategy to changing conditions. • Uses benchmark tools to identify and analyze trends within the market, including competition insights, company position, external threats and opportunities. • Prepares, forecasts and analyzes trends across the logistics industry and provides proactive intelligence sharing with leadership. • Assists in gathering local, regional, and/or national information to determine potential sales of a product or service. • Uses statistical methods, modeling and analytical methodologies to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making. • Tracks performance against budget, identifies gaps versus actual results, and develops early diagnostic data to assist management in the development of action plans to improve financials when needed. • Develops recommendations to change systems, policies, performance measures, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation. • Responsible for new customer profiling (SKU, UOM, space layout, configuration & utilization). • Owns execution of pricing strategy and tactical pricing requests for new opportunities and solutions. • Facilitates inventory management across partner facilities. • Responsible for load design and minimization of damage/risk, tracks damage and provides feedback to partner operations. Updates load patterns as needed. • Partners with internal customers, legal and compliance center of excellence to develop best practices and checks and balances to ensure the organization’s selling tactics are focused upon markets that meet our organizations alcohol compliance requirements. • Owns software including backend optimization, support, capability-advancement, and implements a variety of processes to address organizational issues. • Provides customer portal support including onboarding new customers into portal. Provides training to new customers and internal users as needed. • Collaborates cross functionally and maintains relationships; includes facilitating regular meetings with internal/external customers, and industry partners to share data reporting and provide feedback. • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years business analytical, systems, or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 2 years of work experience focused on the logistics industry; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years G3 analytical, systems or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 2 years of work experience focused on the logistics industry • Experience with information analysis tools (Microsoft Access, Microstrategy, Tableau, etc). • Advanced computer skill requirements include: MS Word and MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel and databases. Requires the ability to create and utilize pivot tables, pivot reporting, advanced formulas, power query and macros. • Exposure to and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Transportation Management Systems (TMS). • Comfort utilizing technology to extrapolate data and identify trends. • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. • Operations experience with effective communication skills. • Compliance background or education. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration plus 8 years of experience in Business Analytics, Systems, Accounting or Finance to include 3 years within a complex manufacturing or logistics operation reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. • Marketing background. • Experience using Micostrategy and Softeon strongly desired. • Skilled in making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations. • Strong negotiation skills. • Skilled in multi-tasking, gains quick grasp on situations and easily maintains productivity while driving concurrent projects. • Skilled in applying mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Skilled at handling many different responsibilities in a team environment. • Experience in product management or research ideal Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation Hiring Salary Range: $93,800 - $117,200 Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
