The College of Accounting invites applications from a suitably professionally qualified person who wishes to make an impactful contribution to our dynamic team. The College seeks to appoint one (1) permanent full-time Lecturer, in the Financial Reporting section. The College wishes to make this appointment with effect 1 January 2027, or soon therafter. Requirements for the position: Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) or as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Demonstrable teaching ability and good presentation skills. Evidence might typically include lecturing, tutoring, workshops, training and the creation of learning materials. The following will be advantageous: A relevant master’s degree. Teaching at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level on a professional accounting programme. Experience in academic administration and leadership roles at course and/or departmental level. Responsibilities at the Lecturer level include: Teach at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level on the College’s endorsed programmes. Engage in research and scholarship that benefits the College and the accounting profession. Perform related academic administrative tasks at a College and/or Faculty level. Participate in College initiatives, especially those that meet the College’s transformation objectives.
