About this role

Electrical Design SW Engineer The Equipment and Tool Shop sets the bar for innovation by designing, building, deploying, and supporting in-house automated manufacturing cells. These cells are used for state of the art automotive electronics manufacturing – including the latest in pick and place robotics, inventive conveyance systems, and established industry process equipment such as dispensers, laser markers, screw drivers, and plasma surface treatment. Your Responsibilities : Design and develop embedded systems and control software for production equipment automation cells, creating and maintaining PLC/HMI programs that make our production lines smarter, faster, and more automated. Analyze technical requirements and specifications to create efficient electrical designs, panel layouts, bill of materials, and electrical schematics for manufacturing equipment . Design and implement safety devices within automation cells while ensuring all designs conform to necessary regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of electrical designs and control systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Cooperate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production of suitable software solutions and support manufacturing operations in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all software projects, maintaining adherence to regulatory codes such as GMP, OSHA, NEC, and NFPA. Maintain 5S Best in Class organization and cleanliness standards in work area while managing multiple project priorities. Your Qualifications : Required Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field). Knowledge of PLC control systems, concepts, and software development. Ability to analyze technical specifications and interpret electrical schematics. Strong capability to work comfortably in a team environment managing multiple priorities. Clear written and verbal English communication skills. Passionate about pursuing emerging technologies in automation and embedded systems. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship. Preferred 3+ years experience designing and maintaining PLC and HMI programming of Allen Bradley or Unitronics devices. Experience programming and implementing industrial safety devices in production environments. Working knowledge of regulatory codes and standards such as GMP, OSHA, NEC, and NFPA. Proven experience in automation design and manufacturing operations. Background in embedded systems development and validation processes. Salary Classification: - We look forward to your application.
