Job Summary The Office of Engagement is hiring an Office Assistant to help keep our daily operations running smoothly. We're seeking a detail-oriented, reliable undergraduate student to support our team’s day-to-day operations, community outreach, and special events. As a key support in the office, you'll gain practical experience while supporting the university's community impact work. Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Flexible around your class schedule.) Compensation : $15.00 / hr Key Responsibilities Office & Operations Support: Handle general administrative tasks, perform data entry, update databases, assemble materials, run campus errands, and maintain confidential office records. Event & Program Assistance: Help set up, staff, and wrap up office-sponsored workshops, community events, and campus meetings. Communications: Assist with basic website updates, link checking, drafting routine emails, proofreading outreach materials, and representing the office at engagement events or tabling opportunities. General Team Support: Assist with special projects and other office needs as assigned. Qualifications Currently enrolled Purdue undergraduate student in good academic and conduct standing. Friendly, professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort with basic digital tools or AI applications. Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality. Ability to pass required university background checks.
